Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University Admissions Details

Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University Application/Admission Process

Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI) is a deemed-to-be university run by the Ramakrishna Mission, with its main campus at Belur Math, Howrah, and several off-campuses across India. It focuses on value-based higher education, combining modern disciplines with Indian cultural and spiritual heritage.

For 2026, admissions are expected to remain largely entrance-based, using a mix of the university’s own tests and national exams like CUET for selected UG and PG programmes. CUET UG 2026 is expected to open registrations around March 2026, while CUET PG 2026 is expected to open around January 2026 for relevant courses at RKMVERI

Admission Process

Step 1: Check notification and eligibility

  • Visit the main RKMVERI admissions page or the concerned campus site (Belur, Narendrapur, Ranchi, Coimbatore, etc.) and locate the current year admission notification for the desired programme.
  • Carefully check eligibility (qualifying exam, subject requirements, minimum percentage, age limits, reservation rules) and any required external tests such as CUET UG/PG for that course.

Step 2: Register and fill application form

  • Create an account on the relevant online admission portal (for example, campus-specific portals like Ranchi have separate “Apply Online” sections) using a valid email ID and mobile number.
  • Fill in personal, academic and contact details, select the programme and campus, upload required documents (photo, signature, marksheets, certificates, ID proof etc.) in the specified format, and verify entries before final submission.

Step 3: Pay application fee and submit

  • Pay the prescribed application fee online via net-banking, card or UPI, or through any alternative method mentioned in the notification (sometimes offline payment options are provided campus-wise).
  • After successful payment, submit the form, download/print the confirmation page and application summary for future reference.

Step 4: Entrance test and interview

  • Download the admit card (if issued online) or note the schedule and venue for the written admission test or skill test as announced on the website or via email/SMS.
  • Appear for the entrance test and, if shortlisted, attend the counselling, interview or group discussion process, where academic records, test performance and, in some cases, aptitude for value-based education are assessed.

Step 5: Selection list, document verification and admission

  • Check the merit list or selection list published on the university/campus website and note reporting dates and instructions for provisional admission.
  • Report in person (or as directed), submit original documents for verification, provide photocopies as required, pay the admission/semester fee within the deadline, and complete hostel admission formalities if applicable to confirm the seat.
