RV University Mysore Application/Admission Process

The admission process for the RV University (RVU) Mysuru campus for the 2026–27 academic year is currently active. The university follows a multi-stage selection process that combines national entrance scores, its own internal test (RVSAT), and personal interaction.

Step-by-Step Admission Process

  • The process is designed to be student-centric and transparent.
  • Online Registration: Visit the official portal at admissions.rvu.edu.inand register with your basic details (Name, Email, Mobile).
  • Application Form: Fill in your academic history and personal information. You will need to upload scanned copies of your 10th and 12th (or equivalent) marksheets.
  • Application Fee: Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.1,000.
  • Entrance Examination (RVSAT):  Most undergraduate and postgraduate programs require you to take the RV Scholastic Admission Test (RVSAT).
  • For B.Tech, scores from JEE Main or KCET are also accepted.
  • Personal Interview (PI): Candidates for courses like BBA and B.Com who score below 70% in their 10+2 may be invited for a personal interview to assess their fit for the program.
  • Selection & Offer Letter: Based on your entrance score and academic performance, a merit list is generated. Selected candidates receive an official selection letter via email.
  • Seat Confirmation: To secure your seat, you must pay the admission/first-semester fee within the timeframe mentioned in your offer letter.

Eligibility Criteria-

  • B.Tech (Hons.)- 60% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths)
  • BBA / B.Com- 50% Aggregate in any stream
  • Sc (Hons)- 50% in relevant Science subjects
  • BCA (Hons)- 50% Aggregate (with Maths/Stats)
  • MCA- 50% in graduation.

Direct Admission (Management Quota)

RV University Mysuru offers direct admission under the Management Quota (MQ). These seats are generally filled on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis for candidates who meet the minimum eligibility requirements but may not have high national entrance scores. Note that the tuition fees for MQ seats are significantly higher.
