S.E. Society Mahastee Arts College Info

The College emblem is beautifully designed to symbolize the ideology of the College i.e. to impart higher education mainly to the children of farmers, fishermen and labour community who are socially, economically and educationally backward. It embodies the picture of vast sea with sailing ships besides huts and cattle in the field to depict the topography where the College is situated. The lamp with its light on the opened book declares the slogan of the emblem  carved at the bottom. The Portrait of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaja is included in the emblem as he is the role model and inspiration for Late Shri S. K. Gaonkar to launch this Herculean task of starting educational institutions in this rural and backward area. Portrait of Late Shri S. K. Gaonkar in the emblem deserves eternal salute by each and every student who takes degree from Mahasatee Arts, Commerce and Science College.
