Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay Government Medical College & Hospital Info

Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay Government Medical College & Hospital is still in the process of development in the phage-II of CSS scheme in Uluberia of Howrah district in the state of West Bengal. It is the sole medical college in the district. This new medical college is started with annual intake of 100 MBBS students. The first and second batches of students are admitted in the session 2022-23 and 2023-24 respectively. The new college campus is situated beside National Highway No 16 known as Jadurberia Campus and the hospital campus is situated at Station Road, Bazarpara. The distance between the two campuses is 2.6 km. The Institution is named after Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, a very famous Bengali novelist and short story writer of the early 20th century with phenomenal popularity.
