SCHOOL OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE – SCHOLARSHIPS

The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Delhi offers a range of scholarships and financial aid programs to support students from diverse backgrounds. Scholarships are awarded based on merit, economic status, and specific categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and EWS, with some support also available from private organizations and government schemes.

Types of Scholarships

Merit-Based Scholarships: Top-performing students (B.Arch, B.Plan, M.Arch, M.Plan, MDes) with family income ≤ INR 4.5 lakh per annum receive an annual stipend of INR 12,400.

Category-Specific Scholarships:

  • SC/ST students can apply for the Top Class Education Scholarship and Post-Matric Scholarships.
  • OBC and minority students are eligible for Merit cum Means and Post-Matric Minority Scholarships.
  • Single girl child scholarships are available for eligible female students.

Special Scholarships:

  • The Ved Prakash Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the best student in the fourth year of B.Arch.
  • The Apoorva Rustagi Scholarship is given to the top-performing woman student in the B.Plan program, covering the full tuition fee and providing a monthly stipend of INR 1,000.

GATE/CEED Fellowships: PG students admitted with valid GATE or CEED scores receive scholarships as per national norms, typically around INR 12,000 per month

Student Aid Fund: Financial assistance up to INR 25,000 per year is available for students facing unforeseen hardships or financial difficulties, based on merit and need.

Application and Eligibility

  • Scholarships are generally open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with eligibility determined by academic performance, family income, and category.
  • Students must apply through the official SPA Delhi portals or the National Scholarship Portal for government schemes.
  • Documentation and timely application are required for consideration.
