Selvam College of Tech Application/Admission Process

Selvam College of Technology (SCT), Namakkal, follows a centralized admission process aligned with the norms of the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Chennai, and Anna University.

Admission Process

  1. Online Application: Candidates must register and fill out the application form on the official SCT website.
  2. Selection Criteria:
    • UG Programmes (B.E./B.Tech): Admissions are primarily based on merit in the 10+2 examinations and participation in the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) single-window counseling process.
    • PG Programmes (M.E./MBA/MCA): Admissions are based on a bachelor’s degree (minimum 50% aggregate) and valid scores in the TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) or CET conducted by the Consortium.
  3. Counseling: After registration, eligible candidates participate in counseling sessions conducted by Anna University (for PG) or DoTE (for UG) for seat allotment.
  4. Document Verification: Once a seat is allotted, candidates must complete physical document verification at the college.

Eligibility Criteria

  • UG (B.E./B.Tech): Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects, with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • PG (MBA/MCA/M.E.): Must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
