Selvam College of Technology (SCT), Namakkal, provides a variety of financial aid programs divided into Management Schemes, Government Schemes, and Private Sector Scholarships.

  1. Management Scholarships

The institution offers several internal schemes to reward academic merit and sports excellence:

  • Merit Scholarships (For 1st Year Students):
    • 90% and above in +2: 100% Tuition Fee + Hostel/Transport fee waiver.
    • 85% to 89% in +2: 100% Tuition Fee waiver.
    • 80% to 84% in +2: 50% Tuition Fee waiver.
    • 75% to 79% in +2: 25% Tuition Fee waiver.
  • Sports Scholarship: Based on performance at Zonal, State, National, or International levels.
    • National/International Level: Tuition Fee + Hostel Rent + Mess Fee waiver.
    • Zonal/State Level: Tuition Fee waiver.
  • Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Provides Rs.5,000 per annum to economically needy students (parental income below Rs.1 Lakh). Recipients are required to contribute 20 hours/month toward library, laboratory, or administrative assistance.
  1. Government Scholarships

SCT facilitates several government-funded schemes for eligible students:

  • 7.5% Government School Quota: Completely free education for students from government schools who qualify through the TNEA counseling process.
  • First Graduate Scholarship: Rs.25,000 for students who are the first in their family to pursue higher education.
  • Post-Matric Scholarship: Up to Rs.50,000 annually for students belonging to SC/SCA/ST categories.
  • BC/MBC Welfare Scholarship: For students from BC/MBC categories with a parental income below Rs.1 Lakh.
  • Other Schemes: Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship, Minority Scholarship, and various endowments (e.g., Chief Minister Farmers Security Scheme).
