The Shantha Group of Institutions (SGI) offers a comprehensive scholarship program for the 2026 academic year, designed to support students based on academic merit, athletic achievement, and social background.

  1. Merit Scholarships (Internal)

These are based on the marks secured in the previous qualifying examination (10+2 for UG, or Graduation for Masters).

  • Category-Specific Scholarships

SGI provides specialized concessions for students meeting specific criteria:

  • Defense Scholarship: A 20% tuition fee concession for children of Armed Forces, Para-Military, or State Police personnel.
  • Sibling Scholarship: A 20% concession if two siblings (blood relations) are enrolled at the institution simultaneously.
  • Disability Scholarship: Students with more than 50% physical impairment are eligible for a 20% fee concession for the entire course duration.
  • Employee Scholarship: Children or spouses of SGI staff members receive a 20% concession as long as the staff member is in service.
  • Sports & Extracurriculars

The institution heavily incentivizes state and national-level athletes:

  • National / International Level: Up to 100% scholarship.
  • State Level: 50% scholarship.
  • District Level: 20% scholarship
  • Government Scholarships (External)

As SGI is affiliated with RGUHS, students are eligible for several Karnataka State and Central Government schemes. The deadlines for these often extend into early 2026 (e.g., May 31, 2026, for certain Medical/AYUSH departments).

  • SSP (State Scholarship Portal): Available for SC/ST/OBC students of Karnataka.
  • MHRD Scholarship: Merit-based scholarship for top-performing students at the national level.
  • Minority Scholarships: Through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for Christian, Muslim, Sikh, and other minority communities.
