St. Ann’s College of Education Application/Admission Process

The admission process at St. Ann’s College of Education (Autonomous), Secunderabad, is primarily governed by the guidelines set by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

1. B.Ed Admission Process

Admission to the two-year B.Ed program is largely determined by merit in the state-level entrance examination.

  • Entrance Exam: Candidates must appear for and secure a valid rank in the TSEdCET (Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test).

  • Counseling: Following the announcement of results, candidates must participate in the state-level online counseling process conducted by the TSCHE. During this process, you select the college as your preferred choice, and seats are allotted based on your rank, category, and seat availability.

  • Eligibility:

    • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., BBA, BCA, etc.) or a Master’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories).

    • Age Limit: Candidates must have completed 19 years of age as of July 1st of the admission year.

  • Seat Allotment: The college has an intake capacity of 100–110 seats. After the counseling process concludes, selected candidates are notified for seat allotment.

2. M.Ed Admission Process

  • Entrance Exam: Candidates must qualify for the M.Ed entrance examination conducted by Osmania University for the respective academic year.

  • Procedure: Shortlisted candidates are called for counseling. In some cases, the college may facilitate the process for candidates who have qualified for the entrance exam.

3. Steps to Complete Admission

Once you are allotted a seat (or shortlisted by the college):

  1. Document Verification: You must appear in person for verification of original documents.

  2. Documents Required:

    • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets.

    • Degree/Provisional pass certificate and all semesters' original mark cards.

    • Transfer Certificate (TC) and Migration Certificate (for those from other universities).

    • Aadhaar Card.

    • Caste and Income Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/BC candidates).

    • Passport-size photographs.

  3. Fee Payment: Admission is finalized only after the payment of the prescribed course fee (approximately Rs.18,000–Rs.48,000 depending on the specific government fee structure for that year).
