The admission process at the St. Francis Institute of Management and Research (SFIMAR) in Mumbai is structured differently depending on whether you are pursuing the MMS or PGDM program.

1. MMS (Master of Management Studies)

Admissions for the MMS program are handled through the Maharashtra State Government’s Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

  • Entrance Exams: You must have a valid score in exams such as MAH-MBA-CET, CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, or GMAT.

  • Application Procedure:

    • Register and fill out the online application form on the official DTE/CET Cell Maharashtra website.

    • Complete mandatory document verification at an E-Scrutiny Center.

    • Participate in the CAP counseling rounds. Seats are allocated based on your entrance score and the state-mandated seat distribution quotas (General, Minority, and Institutional).

2. PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management)

This is an institute-level program with a distinct application process.

  • Application: Apply directly through the official PGDM admissions portal.

  • Selection Process: The institute evaluates candidates based on a comprehensive profile:

    • Entrance Scores: Valid scores from CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, or MAH-MBA-CET.

    • Evaluation: The process includes an assessment of your academic record, followed by rounds such as Essay Writing, a Personality Factor (PF) Test, and a Personal Interview.

  • Outstation Applicants: If you cannot visit the campus in Borivali (West) for the interview, you can coordinate with the PGDM office to arrange a virtual/telephonic interview after submitting your application documents.

  • Academic Records: Mark sheets for 10th, 12th, and all semesters of your Bachelor’s degree.

  • Entrance Scorecard: A copy of your official result from the entrance exam you took.
