It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of this esteemed institution as Principal from this academic year. Right from its establishment in 1946, St Mary’s College has been striving hard to achieve its vision of ensuring holistic development of young women from diverse socio economic backgrounds. College has moulded the lives of many, now serving in different walks of life and is in the process of creating many more. Time to time the College has embarked on innovative programmes and strategies to make students excel not only in academics but also ensure greater achievements in extracurricular spheres. College has been providing various Certificate programmes along with its regular UG and PG programmes to ensure skill formation for employability. With the aim of creating a vibrant and smart generation with values, courage and confidence, stress is also laid on personality development and value based education. College is keen on adopting and updating itself with advanced features of modern day higher education. Embracing modernity without compromising traditional values is the key to success of this great Institution. I am well confident that with the farsighted management, teamwork of dedicated and committed faculty and ministerial staff, hard work of the students, support and cooperation of the parents, alumnae, retired staff and well wishers, this College will march ahead and continue to perform its best.
