Established in 1984, the Tamil Nadu Technical Education Foundation (Regd.) provided sponsorship to the Tamil Nadu College of Engineering. The esteemed philanthropists Late Lion T.N. Palanisamy and Dr. P.V. Ravi, who were pioneering educators with unmatched extensive experience in the field of education and believed that the only way to success was to continuously pursue knowledge, founded the institution.
The All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, the Government of Tamil Nadu, Anna University, and the NBA have all approved and certified the college. At the undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate levels, TCE provides a range of engineering specialities, including electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and engineering, information technology, electronics and communication engineering, and civil engineering.
