About Bodoland University

 

Bodoland University was established in the year 2009 by Bodoland University Act, 2009. Earlier it was Kokrajhar Campus of Gauhati University, later it was upgraded as an independent state university. This is the only university in the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) region. The new university would cater to the educational need of the people, not only of the Bodoland area but also the adjoining states and nations like Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh. The university has the departments of Assamese, Bamboo Technology, Biotechnology, Bodo, Botany, Business Administration, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science & Technology, Economics, English, Geography, History, Mathematical Sciences, Physics, Political Science and Zoology.
