CHECKOUT IMPORTANT DATES
The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is a crucial licensure examination for medical graduates who have completed their education outside India and wish to practice medicine in the country. The FMGE was introduced in 2002 by the Medical Council of India (MCI), now known as the National Medical Commission (NMC). The primary goal of this examination is to ensure that foreign medical graduates possess the necessary knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective medical care within the Indian healthcare system.
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is responsible for conducting the FMGE. Established in 1975, NBE is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, which oversees various examinations for medical education.
