Gujarat Common Entrance Test - GUJCET) 2020 is a state-level entrance exam conducted for admissions into graduate Engineering and Pharmacy courses in various government and private colleges in the State of Gujarat. GUJCET 2020 is organised and conducted by the Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB). Students who wish to join engineering and pharmacy courses in their graduation have to qualify in GUJCET 2020.

GUJCET 2020 Application Form

Before registering and filling the application form of GUJCET 2020, the candidates will have to pay the application fee at the designated help centres. Only after the payment is done, the User ID will be provided to the candidates which will be required during registration.

Obtaining User ID: The candidates will have to obtain a DD of Rs. 300 in favour of “Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar”. The fees have to be deposited at any of the designated help centres after which the candidate will be given their User ID.

Registration: Using the given User ID, the candidates will have to register themselves for GUJCET 2020.

Filling the Application Form: The personal, exam, school and board of the candidates will have to be filled in. All information submitted has to be according to the documents that is owned by the candidates.

Uploading of Documents: The photograph and signature of the candidates have to be scanned and uploaded as per the specifications required.

Submission of GUJCET 2020 Application Form: After reviewing all of the information submitted, the candidates will be able to submit their application form. Following the submission, the application number will be generated and sent to the registered email address of the applicant.

Application Fee:

Candidates have to submit the prescribed application fee of Rs. 300/-. The fee mentioned here is as per the last year record, there may be changes in the application fee for this year.


GUJCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admissions, all candidates will be required to meet certain criteria which are set by the concerned authorities. Various eligibility criteria such as age, nationality, domicile, educational qualification and more have to be satisfied by the candidates. Ineligible candidates will not be allowed to participate in the admission procedure.

  • All candidates should be bonafide residents of Gujarat. Bonafide residents of Gujarat who are residing in other states of the country will also be eligible for GUJCET 2020.
  • Should have qualified 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar / CBSE, Delhi/CISCE, New Delhi/NIOS/International School Board.
  • Candidates who will be completing their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in 2020 will also be eligible for admission.
  • The candidate should be of Indian nationality.
  • A minimum score of 45% has to be secured by the candidates in the qualifying exam. The reserved category candidates will have to score 40% marks.

GUJCET 2020 Syllabus

The standard of the entrance examination will be that of Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations. The syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects will be of HSC level of GSEB board. Candidates can solve previous years question papers to get idea about the type of questions asked in the exam.

Physics: Electric Charge & Electric Field, Electrostatic Potential & Capacitance, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Electric Current, Magnetism & Matter, Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Current, Electro-Magnetic Waves, Ray Optics, Wave Optics, Dual Nature of Radiation & Matter, Atoms, Nucleus, Semi-Conductor, Electronics, Communication System.

Mathematics: Complex Numbers, Definite Integration, Indefinite Integration, Limit, Matrices Determinants, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Sets, Relations & Functions, Theory of Equations, Three Dimensional Geometry, Vectors.

Chemistry: Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, P-Block Elements – II, Halo Alkanes and Halo Arenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, f Block Elements, Complex Salts or Co-ordination Compound, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life


GUJCET 2020 Admit Card                    

GSEB will be publishing the admit card of GUJCET 2020 tentatively in the first week of May 2020.  The registered candidates will be able to download the GUJCET 2020 admit card in online mode as well as obtain it through the post. The admit card is an important document that must be produced at the examination centre. If the candidates are not able to bring the admit card, then he/she will not be allowed to sit for the examination.


GUJCET 2020 Result

GUJCET 2020 results is expected to be announced two or three weeks after the conduct of the examination. Candidates can check their result online through the official website of GSEB or by accessing our page. GUJCET 2020 merit list will be prepared by providing 60% weightage to the marks scored in theory subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology and 40% weightage to marks scored in GUJCET.


GUJCET 2020 Counselling

The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will conduct the online counselling for all the selected candidates for granting admission. During counselling time, candidates can exercise their preferences for colleges. Seat allotment will be strictly based on candidate’s merit, category and availability of seats. The documents that candidates have to verify at the helpline centres are:
