In the last year in July (2022), the Government of Maharashtra announced the release of additional 150 seats in MBBS and 692 seats in PG Medical Courses to be filled during the academic year 2023/24.  Further, in 2019 itself the Government of Maharashtra accepted the proposal of the Union Government to establish 11 new Medical Colleges of which Nandurbar commenced admissions in the 2020/21 academic year, Sindhudurg, Satara, Alibaug Medical Colleges started accepting admissions from 2021/22.  The remaining Medical Colleges are to be established from the Academic Year 2023/24 onwards, depending on the readiness of the infrastructure etc.  They are: (1) Parbhani (2) Buldhara (3) Nashik (4) Amravati (5) Osmanabad (6) Palghar and (7) Mumbai.
