On 26th July 2025, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh campus, was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. Chandigarh University's Unnao campus will revolutionize higher education through AI integration, an advanced campus, and smart labs/classrooms so that students will become job-ready from day one. The Unnao campus had already collaborated with global giants like Google, Microsoft, IBM, NSE, PwC, and more to make sure that the students not only learn from the highly qualified faculty but are guided by industry experts as well.
The inauguration started with the Hon’ble Chief Minister planting a tree in the center of the campus as a symbol of environmental importance and technological advancements, followed by a brief tour of the campus and a glimpse of the AI room, and then, in a grand ceremony, unveiling the foundation stone of the university.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, while addressing the students, parents, and dignitaries, praised CU-UP for integrating AI into its education model, which is being designed in a way that aligns perfectly with the National Education Policy and the vision of Viksit Bharat.
Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, is the most advanced amongst all the 47 private universities, with an overall investment of ?2500 crores, said the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, during the event, and pointed out that the campus is futuristic for higher education and designed as per new standards of academic excellence.
“Why should they have to leave when they can learn, lead, and thrive right here in Uttar Pradesh?” said the Rajya Sabha MP and Hon'ble Chancellor Shri Satnam Singh Sandhu Ji and mentioned the importance of bringing world-class education to UP, so students no longer need to travel far from home to pursue academic excellence.
The event also witnessed the presence of Cabinet ministers like Mr. Nand Gopal Gupta, Mr. Yogendra Upadhyay, Dr. Swami Sachidanand Hari Sakshi Maharaj, and other state leaders during the historic celebration with industry experts. It was truly a historic day for education in India; the event was an amalgamation of dreams, ideas, and an important milestone for India’s AI revolution for the present and future.
