Inter hall-tickets for all eligible students

Students who have paid fee within the stipulated time but could not upload their applications for the Intermediate supplementary examinations will get their hall-tickets if they provide a proof of their fee payment.

A decision on this was taken by the BIE after it received orders from the High Court asking it to consider allowing students who paid the fee on time. BIE Secretary M. Subrahmanyam said that the board received the orders at 3.30 p.m. based on which all colleges were asked to present the forms along with proof of fee payment. “Hall-tickets will be issued to all such candidates and they can write the remaining examinations,” he said. However, some candidates missed the Physics examination as the court orders came much after the examination began.

Meanwhile, nearly 95 per cent of students who applied for the physics exam took the test. Out of the 3,19,834 second year candidates who applied only 16,750 remained absent. In the first year paper 17,226 remained absent among the 3,00,550 applicants.

The second year physics paper, which led to this whole confusion and uncertainty being branded as the ‘toughest' ever in the March examinations, was relatively easy this time. Teachers claimed that two questions were erroneous in the Telugu medium paper and these were Question no 13 in the four marks questions and Questions no 19 in eight marks questions. The same questions in English medium were different and this would have confused students, claimed P. Madhusudhan Reddy, general secretary, A.P. Government Junior Lecturer's Association. Moreover, more questions were given related to problems. Majority students felt that the paper was easy and on expected lines.
