The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has reopened the registration portal for medical, dental, and AYUSH courses for new registration. It allows the candidates to link their NEET UG 2024 roll number for KCET 2024 counselling. Qualified candidates can now apply for counselling and pay the required fee. Those who have already registered can link their roll number by visiting the official website – cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
The deadline to apply for KCET 2024 counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions has been extended till August 19. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) said that, in response to requests from candidates and parents, the online portal will be reopened from 6:00 pm on August 16, till 10:00 am on August 19.
The extension will allow candidates to apply for new registrations and enable already registered UG CET 2024 candidates to link their UG NEET roll numbers. Qualified candidates can now register, apply online, and pay the fees. As said by KEA's official notification, those who are already registered do not need to register again.
The exam authority has instructed OCI (Overseas Citizens of India), PIO (Persons of Indian Origin), NRI (Non-Resident Indian) candidates, foreign nationals, and NRI wards, as well as those in category-2 to category-8, who applied to St. John Medical College, Bangalore, to visit the KEA office in person on August 19 between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. They need to bring all relevant original documents for verification according to their eligibility criteria.
The candidates who missed the document verifications on August 7, 9, 12 or 15 are also allowed to appear on August 19 for the verification. The candidates must be present with all their documents.
KEA has mentioned that this is the final opportunity for candidates to register. According to the National Medical Commission (NMC) and National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) guidelines, all counselling rounds, including any stray vacancy rounds, will be conducted online by KEA. Therefore, all UG NEET 2024 qualified candidates must register online and complete the document verification process with KEA to be eligible for admission to UG Medical, Dental, and AYUSH courses in Karnataka.
