The Biology section is divided into two parts: Zoology and Botany.
Zoology

4. Reproduction in Plants: Pollination, fertilisation, seed development, flowering and sexual and asexual reproduction.
5. Genetics and Evolution: Evolution, the molecular foundation of inheritance and the principles of inheritance and variation.

1. Human Physiology

3. Genetics and Evolution
Emphasis on genetic abnormalities and their molecular causes; Mendelian inheritance and its extensions.
4. Animal Diversity
Categorization and methodical investigation of the main animal phyla; – Knowledge of the traits and differentiations between various animal groups.
5. Biotechnology
The use of biotechnology in animal breeding and genetics; the consequences of genetic engineering in animals; the study of transgenic animals and cloning.
6. Environmental Issues
Awareness of environmental challenges affecting wildlife and ecosystems, understanding of conservation biology and endangered species and knowledge of the role of animals in maintaining ecological balance.
