OU colleges now under Telangana University

Hyderabad: Colleges under th ejurisdiction of Osmania University(OU) in Nizamabad were handed over to Telangana University at a meeting convened by the Directorate of Academic Audit Cell, OU on Tuesday.

Vice -chancellors of OU and Telangana Universities, Prof.S.Sathyanarayana and Prof.Mohammed Akbar Ali Khan respectively and other officials were present on the occassion. There are 52 under-graduate and post-graduate colleges, 11 colleges of education,seven MBA and MCA colleges, and an oriental college with 14,560 students enrolled in Nizamabad district under the jurisdiction of Osmania University.

speaking on the occassion Mr.Sathyanarayana said the initiative will contribute to the momentum of Telangana University.

Meanwhile counselling for centralised admissions to PG courses of Osmania, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi and Palamur universities will be held on July 20 at Nizam college, Basheerbagh. Detailed counselling schedule and fee particulars are available on the university website www.osmania.ac.in, according to a press release.
