Workshop held on CAD/CAM/CAE

A two-day work shop was conducted on 'Introduction to CAD/CAM/CAE' at Usha Rama College of Engineering and Technology, Telaprolu on December 14 and 15.

At the inaugural of the workshop organised by Department of Mechanical Engineering workshop coordinator T. Eswara Rao stressed on the need for attending the courses like CAD/CAM/CAE, piping design, tool design, pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC automation which help the graduates of Mechanical Engineering in securing jobs.

College chairman S. Rama Bramham, Principal G.V.K.S.V. Prasad, HOD Mechanical R.V. Kiran Kumar and workshop coordinator T. Eswara Rao were present at the inaugural function. In his speech the Principal advised the participants to take the opportunity of the workshop and suggested them to do projects in these areas for securing jobs. The College Chairman expressed desire to arrange such courses for the benefit of the students in future also. A.G. Thakur, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Pune University, explained how the recent advancements in digital computation had eased utilization of computers for programming and controlling machine tools.Associate Professor D.P. Bhaskar explained about finite element analysis and career opportunities in the field of the CAE.

Students from various colleges of Guntur, Krishna, and Godavari districts participated in the workshop.
