My life at SRMIST was worth the memories. The faculties, classroom, fests, playground, cafeteria and what not. I made new friends who were enthusiastic about computer science and technology. The faculties were good in their field of knowledge. My advice to aspirants would be to use practical knowledge from internships and courses so that you will be industry ready.

Campus Facilities: The campus is wide and full of lush green. You will enjoy the scenery once you enter the campus. Apart from this, they have hotels for people who would like to stay on campus and there are wide variety of PGs available nearby the campus, so those who can't afford the Hostel fees can stay in the PG's( paying guest). The cafeteria has variety of options for North Indian, South Indian, Chinese and the food is also quite good. ATM are available in plenty, so you need not worry about cash withdrawal. There is a big library facility provided inside the campus and you can study whenever you want or spend time. Our university is also equipped with labs, gaming facilities etc.

Campus Life: Campus life is quite amazing. We have the annual fest event Aarush which is filled with amazing competitions, dance, music, food and even DJ night. We also collaborate with IT Bombay and have fests as well. This event is quite amazing because of the fun events and the excitement among students.

Faculty: The faculties at SRM are quite good in their knowledge. They teach us well and provide notes on time. They also help us in solving doubts and problems whenever they get time. My favorite faculty is Mr. Manikandan, he taught us algorithms and he was a very sweet and kind man.

Placements: The placements at SRM are quite good. We have lot of service based companies who come every year to recruit candidates in bulk. We are also provided with pre placement training and guidance on how to crack interviews. The percentage of people who got placed is approx 95% and more than 8 lakh people got placed in various sectors. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, cognizant, Capgemini, HCL offer 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per annum but the academic criteria is quite strict, they demand 60% to 70% throughout in your 10,12th and graduation failing which you won't be able to apply for interviews. We have product based companies like Amazon, Amadeus labs, optum, comvault which offer good packages between 8 lakhs per annum to 20 lakhs per annum. Internships are usually not provided and students will be asked to get their own internships.
