My 4 years journey in SRM was quite a fruitful experience, I learned a lot about the college, diversity, co-curricular activities, academics etc. The university focuses on a holistic approach towards learning and that is the most important aspect while choosing a university for higher education. The teaching quality is quite good and more aspect is given to conceptual based learning. .

Campus Facilities: The campus is widely spread across 250 acres of land with lush green trees and lakes nearby which gives a perfect scenery. It has all the facilities like public transport, busses, canteens, libraries and ATM's. The classroom's are well equipped with comfortable chairs, desks, power point sliders, marker pens, duster etc. In addition to these we also have big auditorium which are equipped with mikes, speakers, air conditioners for celebrations, fests, cultural events and many more exciting events.

Campus Life: Campus life in SRM is the best, With concerts, fun events, cultural fests, DJ nights the students are always enthusiastic about the events and regularly participate. The most famous cultural fest in SRM is the Milan an Annual National Inter College Students Cultural festival where students from different universities come to participate in our events like football, badminton, volleyball, kho-kho, cricket, table tennis and many more such events. Prices and gifts are rewarded to the team who wins the event and apart from this, celebrities also attend to showcase their dance, music and DJ nights. It is the most jolly event because it has so much fun, enthusiasm and team spirit involved in the events that motivate us to be positive.

Faculty: Faculties are well trained and professional. Many of the professors had masters degree from recognized and top level institutions such as NIT, IIIT-Bangalore and IIT-Madras. Some of them even had PHD degree and were working on research. One of my favorite faculty is Dr Franklin Vinod who taught us computer organization and Architecture. The way he taught us the concepts were interesting and made learning quite easy.

Placements: Though internship opportunities are not really that good but our university used to partner with external organizations like InternShala to provide internships to deserving candidates. The placements used to start during the end of our eighth semester around July and used to continue till may of the next year. The placements started with service based companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, HCL, Accenture, HP who used to recruit candidates in bulk amount. After a few weeks, Banking and Big 4 companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, ICCI Bank used to recruit candidates around 500 to 600. At the end product based and FMCG's like Hindustan Unilever, Amazon, Amadeus Labs, Coviam, BYJU's, Climber and many more recruited candidates in small batches. Around 50,000 students get placed in all the companies. The offers were mostly around 3 lakh per annum to 6 lakh per annum for service based companies, 5 lakh to 8 lakh per annum for banking and finance, above 10 lakhs for product based companies and FMCG's.
