The NIFT 2024 counselling will be done in the month of June 2024. The counselling is done for applicants who have cleared the exam. They will be called for counselling on the basis of the marks scored. The applicants are required to bring their original documents and certificates during counselling. The shortlisted applicants can log into the official website and check their counselling dates.

Group Discussions and Personal Interview:

Those candidates who will be shortlisted for Master’s Program in NIFT from the written entrance examination are required to attend the case study based Group discussions and Personal Interview. The group discussion session will be of 15 to 20 minutes time duration. It is conducted to shortlist the candidates who fulfil the parameters set by the authority.

The parameters for Group Discussion are as follows:

• Good communication skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Creativity and ability to innovate new ideas
• Problem-solving approach
• Leadership qualities
• Conceptual clarity

Personal Interview of NIFT: After group discussion round, the candidates will be examined on below-listed parameters in the Personal Interview:

• Communication
• Aptness for the course
• Creative and lateral thinking
• Document Check-list for counselling in NIFT

The mandatory documents to be carried on the day of NIFT 2024 Counselling are mentioned below.

• Candidates are also advised to bring the scanned copies of the original certificates in a CD or pen-drive for uploading on NIFT server during the counselling process of NIFT 2018.
• Original certificates of qualifying examination i.e. 12th class/degree (Mark Sheet and Certificate).
• For admission to PG courses, a candidate is required to bring the original certificate (Mark Sheet and Certificate) of the qualifying degree examination.
• If the candidate has appeared in final semester/ final year (as applicable) then he has to bring the original mark sheet of all the previous semester/years.
• If a candidate has appeared for qualifying exam/compartment (of final year/semester) and the result is due, the date sheet /admit card for examination has to be brought during the counselling.
