Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) it is a state level entrance test Uttar Pradesh State Technical University conducts UPSEE to offer admissions to competitors in proficient courses which are accessible at the college alongside establishments that are subsidiary to the University. UPSEE 2018 exam dates will be anounced soon. Online Application Form

In order to successfully fill the UPSEE application form online, candidates need to fill the below mentioned fields with utmost care:

Personal Details

Candidates need to fill in details such as their full name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, personal mobile number, email ID etc.

Candidates are advised to go through all the information that they have provided thoroughly before submitting the application form.

Scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression

As per the UPSEE information brochure, “Candidates need to attach their clear scanned image in the application form. The image should be coloured and in passport size (3.5cm X 4.5cm). The image should be in JPEG Format with a maximum size of 20 KB. The photograph must be front facing to the camera in a manner that the candidate’s full face can be seen. The background should be either white or off-white and uncluttered. Apart from this, the candidate must attach a clear scanned image of their signature (3.5cm X 1.5cm) in JPEG format with the signature image size being not more than10 KB. Similarly, the left thumb impression should also be in JPEG format and its dimensions should be 3.5cm X 1.5cm, this scanned image should not be more than 10 KB in size”.

Candidates will be given a registration number when they submit their application form. Candidates are advised to note down the registration number issued to them because this will be used for all future correspondences. Candidates also need to take a print-out of the confirmation page that appears before them.

Application Fee:

  • For Male/Transgender Candidates of General/OBC Category - Rs. 1000/-
  • For Female/SC/ST/PwD Category - Rs. 500/-

UPSEE 2018 Offline Application Form

Candidates are also given the option to fill their application form for UPSEE offline. Candidates can purchase their application form absolutely free of cost from any designated help desk.

In the application form, candidates need to fill their personal details such as their date of birth, email ID and mobile number. The mobile number/e-mail ID of the candidate will be used by UPSEE 2018 officials for future correspondence/ communication with the candidate along different stages of the exam process.

After paying the exam fee, candidates need to submit their photograph, thumb impression and signature to the help desk. On completion of this step, they will be given three copies of the confirmation page from the help desk.

The confirmation page will contain a registration number which candidates need to use for all future correspondences.

After this, candidates need to post the duly signed copy of the confirmation page along with copy of bank challan through speed post/registered post at the below mentioned address:

UPSEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria of UPSEE 2018 laid down by the AKTU University to appear for the exam. The UPSEE eligibility criteria is given below for candidates

  • Candidates must have studied intermediate of UP board or 10+2 or equivalent with Maths & Physics as compulsory subjects and any one of the optional of the subjects - Chemistry/ Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject. Candidates opting for B.Tech Biotechnology should have studied either Maths or Biology and Physics as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 45% in their qualifying exam. SC/ST candidates must have secured a minimum of 40% in the qualifying exam.
  • They should have the exam without any grace marks in each of the compulsory subjects and one optional subject
  • There is no age limit for UPSEE 2018.

UPSEE 2018 Exam Pattern

Papers: The examination of UPSEE will be conducted for 11 papers.

Exam Mode: Paper-1, Paper-2, Paper-3 and Paper-4 are the OMR based paper while rest of the papers are Computer Based Tests (CBT).

Type of Questions: All the papers are of objective type (except Drawing Aptitude Test [(Part-B of paper-4)].

Exam Duration: The exam is of 3 hours.

Subjects Covered: The subjects varies paper-wise. Candidates can check details about subjects in each paper from the below table.

Number of Questions: Paper-1, 2, 3 will contain 150 questions; Paper-5, 6, 7, 8 will contain 75 questions and Paper-9, 10, 11 and 12 will have total 100 questions each. Paper-4 will have 50 questions each of Mathematics & Aesthetic Sensitivity with a total of 100 questions and 2 questions from Drawing Aptitude.

Marking Scheme: Candidate will receive 4 marks for each correct answer.

Negative Marking: No mark (s) will be deducted for any of the wrong response marked by the candidate.

UPSEE 2018 Admit Card

The admit card of UPSEE 2018 will be available online tentatively from April. Candidates have to download the UPSEE 2018 admit card by mentioning their application number, password and security pin.  The admit card of UPSEE will contain the name of the candidate, father’s name, category, sub-category, gender and the rural weightage.

UPSEE 2018 Result

The result of UPSEE 2018 will be announced in an online mode tentatively in the last week of May 2018.  The counselling of UPSEE will be based on the ranks obtained by candidates in the entrance exam. In case of any discrepancy, candidates will have the option to get their answer sheet scrutinised by paying Rs 5, 000 per paper within seven days of the declaration of the result. They will have to submit the application for scrutiny to the Registrar, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow (U.P.) 226021 in writing.

How to Prepare for UPSEE

Here, we are highlighting some tips on how to prepare for UPSEE:

  • Firstly, gather all the essential information about UPSEE including syllabus and exam pattern.
  • Lots of study material are available online and offline for UPSEE preparation. Candidates can refer best books for their exam preparation.
  • Time management is very important while preparing for exam as well as when you are in examination hall. So manage your time effectively.
  • Take proper sleep.
  • Do not forget to revise all the important topics before going for the exam.
  • You may also practice previous years question papers to get idea about the type of question paper.
  • Try to attempt all the questions. The questions should not be left as there will be no negative marking in the examination.
