Common Entrance Test for Pondicherry Private Medical/Dental Colleges (CETPPMC) It is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Pondicherry Linguistic & Religious Minority Medical & Dental Colleges Welfare Association for the selection of possibility for the MBBS and BDS courses in these universities in Pondicherry. Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital, Sri Venkateswara Medical College Hospital and Research Centers,Mahe Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital,Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College in pondecherry. Various competitors are applying for the test every year and the exam draws in high competition.

Common Entrance Test for Pondicherry Private Medical/Dental Colleges 2024 will be conducted in the month of May as per the official notification. The exam will be conducted by Pondicherry Linguistic and Religious Minority Medical and Dental College Welfare Association.

• The candidate is required to visit the official website of CETPPMC 2024.
• Then click on Apply Online to start filling out the application form.
• Once the candidate has submitted all the details, the username and password will be sent to the candidate via mail for future login purposes.
• Now the candidate is required to pay the application fee as demanded and take out a print of the fee receipt.
• The candidate should then send the same to the address mentioned below to successfully complete the application form process.

Application Fee

• The examination fee for CETPPMC 2024 is Rs 650/-
• The applicants can pay the fee through a Demand Draft written in favor of ‘PLRMMDCWA’ (Pondicherry Linguistic and Religious Minority Medical and Dental Colleges Welfare Association) payable at Pondicherry.

CETPPMC 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification:

• Candidates seeking admission to the M.B.B.S., degree course should have a pass in the HSC (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination to fulfill the eligibility criteria
• Candidate should pass the degree course with a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC/OBC/MBC candidates) in aggregate in the subjects – English, Biology / Botany & Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry to satisfy the eligibility criteria.
• For students belonging to SC/ST, the maximum number of appearances (including the first appearance) permitted to pass the qualifying examination is two and one for others to cover up the eligibility criteria.

Age Limit:

• Candidates should have completed a minimum of 17 years of age to cover up the eligibility criteria
• The age will be reckoned as of 31st December of the current year to satisfy the eligibility criteria

Nationality:

• The applicant for admission should be a Resident Indian National and should have studied in schools located in India in the preceding two years except for those admitted against seats reserved for Non-Resident Indians to satisfy the eligibility criteria
• There is no upper age limit prescribed under the eligibility criteria

CETPPMC 2024 Syllabus

The syllabus for CETPPMC 2024 will be covered three subjects those are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Biology contains Zoology & Botany. These subjects will consist of topics from the 11th and 12th class syllabi. So candidates should prepare from physics, chemistry and biology subjects of 11th and 12th class.

Physics: Mechanics, Simple Harmonic Motion, Rotational Motion, Wave Motion, Gravitation, Sound, Superimposition of Waves, Nature of Light, Interference of Light Waves, Diffraction and Polarization, Radiation, Physics of Atom, Nuclear Physics, Electricity, and Electromagnetic Induction, Universal Properties of Matter, Electronics, Kinematics, Astronomy.

Chemistry: Atomic structure and Periodic Classification, Chemical Bonding, Acids, and Bases Stoichiometry, Chemical Equilibrium, Chemical Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Chemistry of Nonmetals, Chemistry of Metals, Organic Chemistry, Natural Products, Applied Chemistry, S Block Elements, Organic Halogen compounds.

Biology: Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and its applications, Ecology and Environment, Vegetative Morphology, Flower, Fruits, Taxonomy, Anatomy(Root-stem-leaf), Genetics, Physiology(Absorption-Transpiration-Photosynthesis-Respiration-Growth), Ecology, Cell Biology, Human Physiology I, Human Physiology II, Environment in relation to Human Welfare, Diseases.

CETPPMC 2024 Admit Card

The candidate can avail of the hall ticket/ admit card on the official site of SMVMCH for the CETPPMC admit card.

• Admit cards will be available from 1 week or 2 weeks before of examination date on the official website.
• Admit card is a very important document. It is identity proof for a candidate as an applicant.
• All the candidates have to carry admit card and a govt approved identity proof with them on the exam date.
• Without admission, card candidates cannot enter the exam hall.

CETPPMC 2024 Results:

• Every year CETPPMC 2024 is conducted in the month of June.
• The date for the announcement of the results for CETPPMC will be updated soon in the results section of our website.
• Once the CETPPMC results have been released by the examination conducting authorities, the candidates can check the results on the official website of CETPPMC.
• The CETPPMC results declared will be on the basis of the cut-off list.
• The results of CETPPMC 2024 will reveal whether the student has got admissions to any of the colleges of Pondicherry.
• If the student does not meet the CETPPMC cutoff list declaration, the student will not be eligible for the future admission process.
• Candidates can view their CETPPMC results in online mode by providing details such as their Admit card number and mobile number.

CETPPMC 2024 Counselling

Candidates who will be declared qualified in the entrance examination, they will be called for counseling. The counseling process will be beginning in the 4th week of June 2024. During the counseling process, candidates have to fill in their preference of colleges for admission. Students will get admission in institutions on the basis of merit list rank and seats will be allotted on basis of the candidate’s choice of institutions filled.

The following documents are required to appear for the CETPPMC counseling:

• Original counseling letter along with a photocopy of the counseling letter
• Original Admit card along with a photocopy of admit card
• A bank draft has to be made as per the guidelines mentioned in the CETPPMC prospect
• All the original and at least 2 photocopies of certificates of 10th & 12th class Rank Card / Hall Ticket Scorecard (if applicable)
• Original degree/provisional certificate if the candidate is appearing Community certificate (SC/ST/OBC/Other) signed by the authority accredited by the government
• Medical documents mentioned on CETPPMC application form
• 4-6 Passport size photographs in color and black and white
• Other supportive documents mentioned on CETPPMC application form
