WBJEE 2018 West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is state level entrance examination conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) for admissions to the Under Graduate level engineering courses in the various colleges and institutes present in the state of West Bengal for academic session 2018-19. Candidates who are interested can find the List of Engineering Colleges in West Bengal. The online applications from the interested students are invited from 05th January 2018.

WBJEE 2018 Notification:

WBJEE 2018 notification was released in the month of January 2018.

WBJEE 2018 Eligibility:

1) Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.

2)  Candidates who had passed / appearing the 10+2 qualifying exam are also eligible.

3) Candidates belonging to general category must obtain at least 45% marks in their 10+2 (PCM/PCB). For candidates belonging to reserved category, it is relaxed up to 5% i.e. 40% marks.

4) Lower age limit is 17 years as on 31st January 2018; however, there is no upper age limit to appear in WBJEE 2018, but the candidates who are born on or after 1st January 2000 are not eligible to appear in WBJEE 2018.

5) For admission to degree level Marine Engineering Course, the lower age limit is 17 years as on 31st January 2018 and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st January 2018.

WBJEE 2018 Exam Pattern:

1) Mode: Pen & Paper based test.

2) Subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

3) All questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type

4) There will be three categories of questions in each of the subjects.

5) Each question carries 1 or 2 marks.

6) There is negative marking system.

WBJEE 2018 Application Form:

Application Fee: Rs 500 /- + Bank Service Charges

Mode of Payment:

  • Online mode: Credit / Debit Card / Net Banking
  • Offline mode: Allahabad e-challan, deposit fees in any branch of Allahabad Bank with Core Banking Services.

How to Apply:

1) Visit the official website and register with required details.

2) Login and fill the application form with personal and academic details.

3) Upload the photograph and signature with required specifications.

4) Pay the application fee through above mentioned modes.

5) Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.

6) Download and take printout of confirmation page after successful submission of application.

WBJEE 2018 Syllabus:

WBJEE 2018 syllabus is comprised of subjects

  1. Physics,
  2. Chemistry and
  3. Mathematics syllabus from 10+2 board.

WBJEE 2018 Admit Card:

WBJEE 2018 admit cards will be released on 12th April 2018 tentatively. Candidates can download the admit cards from the official website of WBJEE 2018. Admit Card contains information like unique roll number, name of the candidate, test date, time, and venue etc.

WBJEE 2018 Results and Rank Card:

The WBJEE 2018 Results are expected to be released on 5th June 2018 tentatively. Rank Cards will be available after the release of results. Candidates can find the results in the website and download the rank cards. Rank cards will NOT be sent in post or mail to candidate. The rank card should be produced at the time of admission.

WBJEE 2018 General Instructions:

1) The Candidates, who wish to apply for WBJEE 2018, must apply through online only.

2) It is advised to visit your allotted Examination Centre well before so that you can take examination tension-free.

3) It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they are answering the correct Question Booklet of the branch for which they are eligible for admission.

4) Candidates must return both Question Paper Booklet and OMR Answer Sheet after the test. Other page in OMR sheet can be taken by the candidate for reference of his/her answers.

5) The Question booklet code, Admit Card Number and other details must be entered correctly and properly on the OMR Answer Sheet, in the Test. Otherwise ranks declared, if any will be cancelled subsequently in such cases.

6) Candidates are required to report 1 hour before the scheduled start time of the test for the verification & security check.

7) Admit Card should be produced at the time of Entrance Test and also at the time of Admission.

8) Candidates should carry the following to the test venue

a) Admit Card duly completed with photograph and your valid photo ID proof

b) Black & Blue ball point pen
