The Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) is the Tamil Nadu Teacher's Eligibility Test which is led by Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board. This is a state-level examination. This exam is directed each year for those applicants who need to end up noticeably a teacher in essential segments and in addition center area i.e. teacher for Class I to V and Class VIth to VIIth. TNTET 2024 is a state-level examination that is directed at the possibility to get an endorsement of the Teacher's Eligibility Test.

The Tamil Nadu TET Application Form 2024 will be announced in March 2024. TNTET 2024 Notification will also be released in March before the online enlistment. TNTET 2024 Application Form

• Candidates can obtain the application form from the Head Masters of Higher Secondary Schools specified by the Chief Educational Officers concerned against the payment of Rs. 50/- in cash.
• The duly filled-in application form and the TRB Copy of the Fees Payment Challan should be kept inside the envelope given and submitted in person in the Office of the District Educational Officer. Applicants are suggested to take an acknowledgment on the photocopy of the form.
• Candidates should note that the concerned District Educational Office will not accept applications submitted after the due date.
• There is no need to send the filled-in Application Form directly to the Teachers Recruitment Board.

Application Fee

Candidates have to pay Rs 500/- (Rupees 250/- in case of candidates from SC/ST/ PWD category) as a necessary exam fee.

TNTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for primary stage

• Candidate must be 18 years to 40 years of age
• Candidates must have 50% marks in Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam or appear in the last year of Diploma in Elementary Education (for the general category)
• Candidates must have 45% marks in Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam and finalized or appear in the last year of Diploma in Elementary Education (for reserved category)
• Candidate must have 50% marks in Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam or appear in the last year of Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

Eligibility for middle stage

• Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree or appear in last year's Diploma in Elementary Education
• Candidates must have a Graduation degree along with a minimum of 50% marks and cleared or appear in an Ed degree (for the general category)
• They should have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45% marks and cleared or appearing in the final year of an Ed degree (for reserved category)
• Candidate must have passed the 12th examination with 50% marks and appeared in the last year of Bachelor of Elementary Education.

TNTET 2024 Exam Pattern

Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted in offline mode

Duration: Total duration of both exams is 6 hours i.e. 3 hours for each exam

Type of questions: Multiple choice types

No. of questions: 150 questions in both examination

Negative marking: There will be no negative marking

The Science curriculum is in the Standard VI, VII & VIII Classes by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Social Science

The Social Science syllabus is in the Standard VI, VII & VIII Classes by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

TNTET 2024 Admit Card

The Government of Tamil Nadu, Teachers Recruitment Board will release the Admit Card for TNTET 2024 for all the eligible candidates who registered successfully. To download the admit card, candidates are required to enter their registration number and date of birth.

TNTET 2024 Result

The results of the candidates who appeared for the entrance examination will be available on the official portal of the authority in May 2024. According to the official sources, the candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks to get an interview letter.
