WBJEE 2026 Syllabus

WBJEE 2026 EXAM SYLLABUS

The official curriculum for WBJEE 2026 is available online. Candidates can use the syllabus to review themes and subjects. Knowing the syllabus is crucial so they can make a study schedule. The WBJEE syllabus will cover subjects in mathematics, chemistry, and physics. The curriculum will be identical to that of the eleventh and twelfth grades. To be ready for an exam, students must study certain subjects. Pattern is just as crucial as curriculum.

Physics

  • Mechanics: Physical World, Units/Dimensions, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work/Energy/Power, Centre of Mass, Friction, Gravitation, Rotational Motion.
  • Properties of Matter: Elasticity, Fluid Mechanics, Viscosity, Surface Tension.
  • Thermodynamics: Heat, Laws of Thermodynamics, Kinetic Theory.
  • Waves & Oscillations: SHM, Wave Motion, Sound.
  • Electricity & Magnetism: Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetism, EMI, AC Circuits.
  • Optics & Modern Physics: Ray/Wave Optics, Atomic/Nuclear Physics, Semiconductors.

Chemistry (50 marks, 40 Qs)

  • Physical Chemistry: Atoms/Molecules/Chemical Arithmetic, Atomic Structure, States of Matter, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium (Ionic/Redox), Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry.
  • Inorganic Chemistry: Periodic Table, Chemical Bonding, Coordination Compounds, p-Block, d-Block, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry.
  • Organic Chemistry: Hydrocarbons, Haloalkanes/Alcohols, Aldehydes /Ketones, Carboxylic Acids, Amines, Biomolecules, Polymers.

Mathematics

  • Algebra: Sets/Relations/Functions, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Permutations/Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Matrices/Determinants, Logarithms.
  • Trigonometry: Identities, Equations, Heights/Distances, Inverse Functions.
  • Coordinate Geometry: Straight Lines, Circles, Conics (Parabola/ Ellipse/Hyperbola) in 2D/3D.
  • Calculus: Limits/Continuity/Differentiation/Integration, Differential Equations, Applications (Maxima/Minima, Area/Volume).
  • Vectors/3D: Vector Algebra, Lines/Planes.
  • Probability/Statistics: Measures of Dispersion, Probability Distributions.
