Campus Facilities: The JGEC college campus is one of the largest campuses in north Bengal . It has 2 big buildings , 4 big playgrounds, 4 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel and mechanical and civil workshops . The hostel themelves contain canteens where students can get square meals a day, both nutritious and tasty . If student likes , he/she can have food from private canteen also , which are also present in campus . SBI bank of Denguajhar branch in inclusive in the building of college where students can deposit , transfer or withdraw money very easily . College has a large library where student can either read or borrow semester books if he/she cant afford to buy new ones . They can retain the books for whole semester and have to return them before semester exams . Classrooms are big and well spaced having big windows which enlightens the classrom during day . Classroom also contains 4 fans and 5 tubelights to compensate for light, if needed.

Campus Life: I had a great campus life . Used to wake up at hostel , had great breakfast there , Me and my friends would walk together towards college building . We would study there , would come back to hostel during lunch break or had our lunch in some private canteen in the college . After college at 4 pm , we used to play cricket ,football , tennis at the ground in front of the hostel . Would play till sunset . Each of our day was great .

Faculty: Faculties are one of the top notch ones in entire West Bengal. Every one is knowledgeable in their respective fields . Not only they have vastness of knowledge but also know how to make students understand concepts easily . Every professor have done Ph.d from top reputed colleges in India or abroad . No one is employed in the college as a professor without good knowledge and good teaching skills . The faculties not only help students prepare for placements but also for various competitive exams such as GATE , CAT .

Placements: Jalpaiguri Governments Engineering College holds excellent records in placements and internships . From Computer science and Engineering branch , almost 80% of students get placed every year in top companies such as TCS , CTS , Accenture , Wipro , Byjus . The average package is about 8-9 lakh per annum whereas highest sometimes goes upto 20-21 lakhs per annum .
