AP EDCET 2024 – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for AP EDCET 2024 are required to fulfill certain eligibility criteria that are listed below.

  • Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.
  • Candidates are required to provide with local or non-local status within the state of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Candidates should be of 19 years old.
  • Candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% in B.E. or B. Tech.
  • Candidates can also have a Master’s degree in relevant subjects such as – Home Science, Mathematics, English, etc., as a five year integrated program.

AP EDCET 2024 – Registration/Application Process

The registration and application process started on the 24th March 2024. The process is done through online mode which will continue till April 2024.

Step – 1: Candidates are required to visit the official website of Andhra University to begin the registration and application process.

Step – 2: Candidates are then required to register themselves online through the website portal and follow the steps. After registration is done, candidates are then required to fill in the application form.

Step – 3: In the final step, candidates are then required to make the payment for the application form through online mode only.

AP EDCET 2024 – Exam Pattern

The AP EDCET 2024 consists of 150 MCQ- based objective questions divided into three parts: Part A, Part B, and Part C.

Part A: General English – 25 questions.

Part B: General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude – 25 questions.

Part C: Candidates can choose one of the following subjects based on their specialization, and it contains 100 questions:

  • Mathematics
  • Physical Sciences
  • Biological Sciences
  • Social Studies
  • English

The exam is conducted in pen and paper-based mode and the duration is 120 minutes (2 hours). The medium of the paper is English and Telugu, with the option to answer in Urdu for candidates choosing Kurnool as their test center. 

Exam Duration: 2 hours

Marking Scheme: For every correct answer candidates will be provided with 1 mark and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

AP EDCET 2024 – Admit Card

The admit cards for AP EDCET 2024 will be released for the participating candidates on 20th May 2024. These admit cards will be released by the authorities online on the official website for the registered candidates only.

Candidates will have to log in with their details to avail their respective admit cards. It is advisable to all the candidates to keep a hard copy of their admit cards for future reference.

AP EDCET 2024 – Results

The results for the AP EDCET 2024 will be published in July 2024 through the online mode on the official website. Candidates will be required to provide with their details for accessing their results from the website.
