Utkal University is the oldest and renowned university of Odisha. around 2 to 3 thousands students take admission each year. students can apply through CPET (Common PG Entrance Test). All the courses are affordable. It's environment is very good. Many clubs are there. many fests are organized by students.

Campus Facilities: Hostel is provided to all students of regular courses. but, in case of self financing course students like Integrated MCA & Integrated MBA, very less number of hostel seats are available. Food quality is average here. Many students also cook in the hostel. @ central libraries are available, one of which is e-library. 2 banks (SBI and Canara Bank) are present here.

Campus Life: Campus life is very good. Many events and functions are organized here. In each department, freshers, farewell and alumni meet is organized. One annual function is also conducted. All other fests like Utkal Vasant, Glory Fests are also organized.

Faculty: All faculties here are well educated and PhD holders. They have a great knowledge. But the fact is that many faculties doesn't teach well. They just come to the class, give lectures and leave the class. Students understand the concept or not it doesn't matter to them. although, many professors are there who teach very well and understand students.

Placements: Students placed in campus placements are less than 50%. Internships are not provided by the college. Students find internships in their own. Average salary is 3lakhs per annum. Companies like ICICI Bank, TCS , TATA Steel comes to the campus.
