AP ECET 2026 COUNSELLING  FAQs

Q1: Is the AP ECET 2026 counselling conducted online or offline?

A: The process is primarily online. Candidates must register, pay the processing fee, upload documents for verification, and fill in web options through the official Common Admission Portal (CAP) at cap.apcfss.in. You generally do not need to visit a Help Line Centre (HLC) unless specifically directed to resolve issues or if you belong to special categories (PH, CAP, NCC, Sports, etc.).

Q2: What is the significance of the "Verification Acknowledgement Slip"?

A: After your uploaded documents are successfully verified online by the authorities, you will receive an acknowledgement. This slip confirms that your documents are in order and is necessary to proceed to the web options entry stage.

Q3: Can I edit my web options after submitting them?

A: Yes. The authorities typically provide a one-time "Change of Web Options" window (scheduled for July 15, 2026, in the current round) allowing candidates to edit or reorder their submitted choices before they are locked for seat allotment.

Q4: What happens if I do not report to the college after seat allotment?

A: Reporting to the allotted college (both online self-reporting and physical reporting) is mandatory to confirm your admission. If you fail to complete these steps by the designated deadline, your seat allotment will be automatically cancelled, and you may lose your admission for the current phase.

Q5: Do I need a rank card for counselling?

A: Yes, the AP ECET 2026 rank card is mandatory. It is a primary document used during registration and certificate verification to confirm your eligibility and rank for the lateral entry admission process.
