The AP ECET 2026 (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA) on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). It facilitates lateral entry admissions into second-year B.E., B.Tech., and B.Pharm courses offered by colleges in Andhra Pradesh. To appear for the AP ECET 2026 exam, candidates must meet the AP ECET 2026 eligibility norms prescribed by APSCHE regarding nationality, domicile, academic qualifications, and minimum marks.

Nationality and Domicile for AP ECET 2026 Candidates:

  • Applicants must be Indian nationals.
  • They should be residents of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana and satisfy the local/non-local status requirements as per Andhra Pradesh Government guidelines.
  • Candidates from other states are not eligible unless they fulfill the AP local status conditions.

Educational Qualification for AP ECET 2026 Candidates:

AP ECET 2026 eligibility criteria varies depending on the course chosen by the candidates, some of which are listed below.

For Engineering Courses (B.E./B.Tech):

  • Candidates must hold a Diploma in Engineering and Technology from the State Board of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh, or any AICTE-recognized equivalent institution.
  • Alternatively, those with a B.Sc. degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects are also eligible.

For Pharmacy Courses (B.Pharm):

  • Candidates must have completed a Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution recognized by the Andhra Pradesh Government or AICTE.

Final-Year Students:

  • Students currently in their final year of a diploma or B.Sc. program are also eligible, provided they produce proof of qualification at the time of admission.

Minimum Marks Requirement for AP ECET 2026 Candidates:

  • Candidates must secure at least 45% marks (general category) or 40% marks (SC/ST/BC categories) in the qualifying examination (Diploma or B.Sc./B.Pharm).
  • Those with compartmental/backlog subjects are not eligible unless cleared before counseling.

Age Limit for AP ECET 2026 Candidates:

  • There is no specific lower or upper age limit prescribed for appearing in AP ECET 2026.
  • However, candidates must possess the minimum age for admission as per the university norms (generally 18 years at the time of admission).

Additional Conditions for AP ECET 2026:

  • Sc. degree holders are not eligible for Pharmacy courses, as these are exclusively for Diploma in Pharmacy holders.
  • Candidates must qualify AP ECET 2026itself to be eligible for admission through the counselling process.
  • Applicants must ensure they meet all eligibility conditions before applying, as non-compliance may lead to disqualification during document verification.
