The AP PECET 2026 (Andhra Pradesh Physical Education Common Entrance Test (AP PECET) syllabus is designed to assess candidates aspiring for admission to B.P.Ed and D.P.Ed courses in Andhra Pradesh colleges. Conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), the AP PECET 2026 exam comprises two key sections – the Physical Efficiency Test and the Skill Test in the chosen game. Overview of AP PECET 2026 Syllabus

The syllabus for AP PECET 2026 is divided into two major components:

  • Candidates must secure an aggregate of at least 30% marks combining both sections to qualify for admission.
  1. Physical Efficiency Test Syllabus

This segment evaluates physical fitness and endurance through compulsory and optional athletic events. Marks are awarded based on performance using conversion tables approved by the AP PECET Committee.

For Male Candidates:

  • 100 meters sprint
  • Putting the shot (6 kg)
  • 800 meters run

Optional event: Long Jump or High Jump (candidate must choose one during application)

For Female Candidates:

  • 100 meters sprint
  • Putting the shot (4 kg)
  • 400 meters run

Optional event: Long Jump or High Jump (choice fixed during application)

Candidates are not allowed to change their optional event choice on the exam day.

  1. Skill Test in Game Syllabus

Candidates must select one game out of the approved list during application and demonstrate their skills in that chosen game. This test carries 100 marks.

Games offered include:

  • Basketball
  • Ball Badminton
  • Cricket
  • Football
  • Hockey
  • Kabaddi
  • Handball
  • Kho-Kho
  • Shuttle Badminton
  • Tennis
  • Volleyball

Candidates who do not select any game or select more than one will be disqualified from the skill test. Changing the selected game during the test is not permitted.

  • Candidates should focus on improving sprinting speed, endurance, and strength to excel in running and shot put events.
  • Practice either long jump or high jump as per their preference since only one option is allowed.
  • Skill enhancement should be game-specific with emphasis on fundamental techniques, tactical knowledge, and physical conditioning.
