KCET 2024: Exam Date, Registration, Syllabus, Admit Card

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). KCET 2024 Examination will be conducted in the third week of June 2024.

Through the conducting authority's website, candidates can register themselves up until the deadline for submission. The KCET 2024 application form is accessible during the first week of May 2024.

Candidates who successfully complete the registration process will also be given access to correctional facilities by the authority. Beginning in the fourth week of May 2024, application form corrections are being made.

Each successfully registered candidate's KCET 2024 admit card has been made available by the authority online. In the first week of June 2024, candidates will be able to download their admission card online. The KCET exam was given in an offline format using paper-based examination. It was planned that the exam would take place in the third week of June 2024.

KCET 2024 Exam Dates

KCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Before submitting an application for KCET 2024, candidates are urged to review the eligibility requirements. The requirements for eligibility will vary depending on the course. Here is the comprehensive list of requirements needed to take the KCET exam:

General Eligibility:

  • Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • Appearing: Candidates who took the qualifying exam and whose results are still pending are eligible to take this test. However, should they fail the qualifying exam, they will not be allowed to enter.

Academic Eligibility:

Eligibility for Engineering Courses:

  • Qualifying Exam: Students must have passed 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Students pass the above examination with English as a language subject and Physics & Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biology/ Bio-technology/ Computer/ Electronics.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have scored 45 % marks for general category and 40 % marks for reserved categories.

Eligibility for B.Arch.:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must passed 10+2/PUC or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Candidates must pass the above examination with mathematics, physics, chemistry & English as compulsory subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates will have to secure minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) in aggregate in all the subjects.
  • NATA Score: Candidates should compulsory appear for NATA exam.

Eligibility for BV.Sc. & AH:

  • Qualifying Exam: Students must have cleared the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized university.
  • Subjects: Pass the above exam with physics, chemistry, biology and English subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have scored at least 50% aggregate (for general category) and 45% aggregate (for reserved categories). 

Eligibility for B.Sc. (Agriculture/Forestry/Horticulture, etc.):

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology will be the compulsory subjects.

Eligibility for Phar.D:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed higher secondary or equivalent exam with PCB or PCM group subjects.
  • Students, those pass the diploma in pharmacy examination from PCI approved institutions will be also eligible to apply

KCET 2024 Application Process

Application form of KCET 2024 is expected to be release  on the website in second week of April 2024 and The last date to submit the form will be till first week of May 2024.

Applicants can apply for the KCET 2024 by following the instructions listed below.

  • After selecting the application form link, enter the candidate's name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number in the registration form.
  • Next, use one of the offered payment methods, like a credit card, debit card, or net banking, to pay the application fee.
  • Next, complete the KCET 2024 application form.
  • Now fill out the application form with your personal information, including your name, date of birth, gender, nationality, category, and contact information.
  • Give facts about your educational background, including your board score, year of passing, and results from the qualifying test (10+2 or equivalent).
  • Next, attach scanned copies of your ID, your signature, and any other required documents in accordance with the instructions.

KCET  2024 Admit Card

The KCET 2024 admit card will be made available on the KEA website by the exam conducting body. Candidates can use their registration number and birthdate to download their KCET admit card 2024. KCET 2024 Syllabus

  • Physics: Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic effects Of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Communication Systems etc.
  • Chemistry: Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles And Processes Of Isolation Of Elements, D And F Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols And Ethers, aldehydes, ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen.
