TG ECET ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2026

Before applying for the exam, students must meet all eligibility requirements, thus they should carefully review the eligibilities before filling out the TG ECET 2026 application form. Candidates will be disqualified from consideration if they are later determined to be ineligible. Therefore, meeting all of the requirements set forth by the official authorities is essential.

 Every category has various eligibility requirements, therefore candidates should carefully review them to prevent any misunderstandings later. The full eligibility requirements established by the authorities for the TG ECET 2026 Examination are as follows

  1. Nationality and Domicile

  • Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • Domicile: Candidates must belong to the states of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh and fulfill the local/non-local status requirements as specified by the Telangana/Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974, and its subsequent amendments

  1. Educational Qualification

  • Diploma Holders: Candidates should have passed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology or Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh or any equivalent recognized institution.
  • B.Sc. (Mathematics) Graduates: Candidates should have passed a 3-year B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized university in Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
  • Sandwich Diploma Candidates: Candidates pursuing a sandwich pattern diploma course are eligible, provided they complete their practical training before the conclusion of counseling.
  • Final-Year Students: Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying diploma or B.Sc. (Mathematics) degree are also eligible, but they must have completed their course before counseling.
  1. Minimum Qualifying Marks
  • General Category: At least 45% marks in the qualifying examination (diploma or B.Sc. Mathematics).
  • Reserved Category (SC/ST): At least 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
  1. Age Limit
  • No Age Limit: There is no specific age limit to apply for TG ECET 2026.
