UPCET 2026 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The eligibility criteria for UPCET can differ slightly based on the specific course you choose. Below are the general eligibility requirements for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered through UPCET.

Undergraduate Courses (B.Tech /B.Pharm /B.Arch /BHMCT /BFAD /BFA/B.Des):

Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. NRI candidates and foreign nationals may also apply for certain seats reserved for them.

Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for most undergraduate courses. However, for admission to the first year of B.Arch., the candidate must have completed 17 years of age as of December 31 of the admission year.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Tech/B.Pharm:  Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
  • Arch: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and obtained at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
  • BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/B.Des:Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any discipline.

(Postgraduate Courses (MBA/MCA/M.Tech/M.Pharm):

Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. NRI candidates and foreign nationals may also apply for certain seats reserved for them.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for postgraduate courses.

Educational Qualifications:

  • MBA: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized institution.
  • MCA: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or at the graduate level.
  • Tech: Candidates must have a B.Tech/B.E. degree or its equivalent in the relevant field.
  • Pharm: Candidates must have a B.Pharm degree or its equivalent.
