Al-Azhar Medical College & Super Specialty Hospital, located in Kumaramangalam, Thodupuzha, Kerala, was established in 2014 under the aegis of the Noorul Islam Trust. The institution is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), ensuring compliance with rigorous standards in medical education and healthcare delivery.

The college offers an undergraduate program leading to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, which spans 4.5 years of academic instruction followed by a one-year compulsory rotating medical internship. The annual intake for the MBBS program is 150 students. In addition to the MBBS program, the institution offers postgraduate courses, including Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) degrees in various specialties.  

The attached teaching hospital is a 700-bed super-specialty facility offering comprehensive medical services across various disciplines, including Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Neurology, and Gynecology.
