In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

“Seeking Knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim, be it male or female”, said Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon Him). Despite this unambiguous directive, the Muslim women have lagged far behind in education. Sincere and sustained efforts are needed to raise the level of education of the Muslim women. As education is the chief instrument of empowerment, it was felt that the best way to bring higher education to Muslim girls, in particular, Muslim girls from Melapalayam, is to start a college of Arts and Science. Accordingly, As-Sathiq Educational Society was formed and registered as a society on 20.09.2002.
