CHRIST UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Christ University Pune (Lavasa Campus) offers scholarships based on merit, financial need, and academic performance.  Here’s a detailed overview of the scholarship options available at Christ University Pune (Lavasa Campus) for 2026:

Scholarship / Fee-Waiver Types

Merit-Based Scholarships (Undergraduate, PG, MBA)

• For UG: Based on Class XII percentage. For example: 95% & above → 40% tuition waiver; 90% & above → 30%; 85% & above → up to 20%.
• For PG: Graduation marks e.g., 90% or equivalent GPA → 40% waiver; 80% or above → up to 30%.
• For MBA: Entrance test percentiles (CAT/XAT) and prior academic performance inform waiver levels: e.g., 90th percentile & above → 70% waiver; 80th percentile & above → 25%.

Sports & Cultural Scholarships

• Eligible if the student has achieved at national, state, district level and also meets academic/attendance thresholds. E.g., for UG & PG: national level + ≥60% marks → 40% tuition waiver; state level + ≥60% → 30%; district level + ≥60% → 20%.

Foreign National / International Student Scholarships

• For abroad students joining UG/PG, based on their qualifying percentages: e.g., UG >60% in 12th → 40% waiver; PG >55% in bachelor’s → 40%. Another tier: UG >55% or PG >50% → 30%

Alumni and Other Institutional Scholarships

• Alumni-of-the-University may get up to 40% tuition-fee waiver on UG/PG programmes.
• The university has internal institutional merit-/need-based support. For example, there’s a “Scholarship & Fellowship Support Cell” which supports applications to internal and external scholarships/fellowships.

Financial Assistance / Need-Based Scholarships

• Beyond pure merit, there are provisions for students who face economic hardships. On the general university site: Students from rural areas, economically weak, can apply for financial assistance via separate application along with supporting documents (income certificate etc).
• At Lavasa campus the fee-waiver scholarship is subject to maintaining performance (attendance, no arrears) for subsequent years.

Eligibility & Conditions

Here are some important eligibility criteria and conditions you must meet:

• For the merit scholarships (UG): Class XII percentage mentioned as above.
• For sports/cultural: academic eligibility (e.g., ≥60% in qualifying exam) plus proof of achievement (certificate) and attendance/performance requirements.
• For foreign nationals: qualifying percentages in previous qualifying exam and participation in selection process of the University.
• For continuation of scholarship: Students must maintain a set minimum attendance (often 85-90%), no arrears/backlogs, and continue in the programme at the campus, or else the scholarship may be revoked.
• Only one scholarship category can be availed per student for the entire duration of the programme.
• Scholarship applies to the first year tuition fee, but many scholarships continue into subsequent years subject to performance criteria.

Application / Process Notes

• After you are admitted to a programme at the Lavasa campus, you’ll need to apply for the relevant scholarship using an application form (collect from the Office of Admission) with original transcripts/documents/testimonials.
• Submit the application within the deadline (which will be announced) along with supporting documents. Late or incomplete applications may not be considered.

The final decision lies with the University’s Scholarship Committee and is not subject to appeal.
