The faculty at H L College of Commerce (HLCC) is regarded as one of the most experienced and academically distinguished in the region. Since the college was granted Autonomous Status in 2023, the faculty has taken a leading role in restructuring the curriculum to include modern finance and fintech perspectives. The teaching staff is known for a "pro-student" approach, combining veteran academic leadership with professional expertise from the industry.

2. Teaching Methodology

With the shift to autonomy, the faculty has moved away from a purely theory-based approach to a more application-oriented pedagogy:

  • Case Study Method: Following the pattern of top B-schools, faculty members often use real-world business cases to explain accounting standards and management principles.

  • Industry Integration: The faculty includes "Professors of Practice"—industry veterans who bring current market insights into the classroom, particularly for courses like B.S. in Fintech and International Finance. 

  • ICT-Enabled Learning: All lecture halls are equipped with audio-visual facilities. Faculty use these to integrate digital resources, financial simulations, and online data sets into their teaching. 

  • Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE): Under the autonomous framework, teachers use a mix of presentations, group discussions, and mid-semester projects to assess students, reducing the reliance on a single final exam.
