IES Management College and Research Centre Application/Admission Process

 

Admission to the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and specialized programs at IES Management College and Research Centre (IES MCRC), Mumbai, follows a structured, merit-based selection cycle.

1. Eligibility Criteria

  • For PGDM (General): A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved category candidates). Final-year students may also apply provisionally.

  • For PGDM (Pharmaceutical Management): A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences), or relevant Engineering/Biotech disciplines with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

  • For Ph.D. in Management Studies: A Master’s degree in management or allied fields with required passing standards, alongside qualifying scores in PET (University of Mumbai Ph.D. Entrance Test) or NET/SET/JRF.

2. Accepted Entrance Exams

Applicants must possess valid scorecards from any of the major national or state-level management aptitude tests:

  • CAT

  • CMAT

  • XAT

  • MAT

  • ATMA

  • GMAT

  • MAH-MBA/MMS-CET

3. Step-by-Step Application Process

  1. Online Registration: Visit the official admission portal of IES MCRC-www.mcrc.ies.edu to fill out the application form.

  2. Form Submission & Fee: Input personal details, academic records, and entrance exam scores, followed by paying the online application fee.

  3. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their overall profile, academic consistency (10th, 12th, and graduation marks), and valid entrance test cut-off percentiles.

  4. Selection Rounds: Shortlisted applicants undergo selection stages which typically include:

    • Group Discussion (GD) or Micro-Presentation (MP)

    • Personal Interview (PI) round

    • Psychometric/Written assessment components

  5. Final Merit List & Admission Offer: The final composite merit list is calculated using weights assigned to past academics, entrance test scores, work experience (if any), and performance in the selection rounds. Selected candidates receive offer letters to complete document verification and fee payment.
