Institute Of Management Bhubaneswar Application/Admission Process

The Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (IMB) offers a two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). For the 2026-27 academic session, the admission process focuses on academic consistency and performance in national-level management entrance exams.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. 

  • Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates) in graduation.

Entrance Exams Accepted

Candidates must possess a valid scorecard from any one of the following national or state-level exams:

  • CAT (Common Admission Test)

  • XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test)

  • MAT (Management Aptitude Test) 

  • CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) 

  • ATMA (Aims Test for Management Admissions) 

  • OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination)

Selection Process

Admission is not based solely on entrance scores. IMB follows a multi-stage selection criteria:

  1. Shortlisting: Based on the entrance exam score and academic record (10th, 12th, and Graduation). 

  2. GD & PI: Shortlisted candidates must participate in a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the institute. 

  3. Final Merit: The final selection is based on a weighted average of entrance scores, GD/PI performance, work experience (if any), and past academic excellence.

How to Apply

  • Offline: Download the application form from the official website and submit it with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.500 in favor of "Institute of Management Bhubaneswar."

  • In-Person: Forms can also be collected directly from the institute's admission counter by paying the application fee.
