The Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (IMB) offers various financial aid programs to support meritorious students and those from economically weaker backgrounds. These scholarships are designed to reduce the overall tuition burden for the PGDM and Hospitality programs.

1. Merit-Based Scholarships

The institute rewards academic excellence through its own scholarship fund:

  • Merit Reward: Students who have maintained a consistent academic record of 60% or above marks throughout their career (Class 10, 12, and Graduation) are eligible for a scholarship of Rs.20,000.

  • Entrance Exam Performance: High scorers in national management entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, or CMAT may be considered for additional fee concessions during the admission process.

2. Government-Backed Scholarships (Central & State)

As an AICTE-approved institution, IMB students can tap into several government schemes:

  • PM-USP (NSP) Yojana: Eligible students can apply through the National Scholarship Portal for the Central Sector Scheme. This can provide up to Rs.82,000 per annum for students whose family income is below Rs.4.5 Lakh and who fall within the top 20th percentile of their respective boards.

  • Post-Matric Scholarships: Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories can apply for their respective state government scholarships (such as the PRERANA portal for Odisha residents) to cover a significant portion of their academic fees.

  • Minority Scholarships: Students from religious minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, Jain) are eligible for the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship via the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

3. Specialized Concessions

  • Defence Personnel Scholarship: IMB provides special financial concessions for the children of defence personnel and ex-servicemen as a tribute to their service.

  • Siblings/Institutional Alumni Discount: Occasional fee waivers are provided for siblings of current students or alumni, subject to the management’s discretion at the time of admission.
