Katihar Medical College offers various scholarships to support students financially and encourage academic excellence. Following are some details about the scholarships available at KMC.

Merit-Based Scholarships for MBBS Students:

  • Students who achieve positions from 1st to 5th in the First, Second, and Third Professional Part-I MBBS examinations are awarded individual scholarships.
  • The student achieving the first position in the Third Professional M.B.B.S. Part-II (Final) examination is awarded the Haji Ahmad Karim Gold Medal.

Fee Concessions:

The college provides fee concessions to 25% of students who are domicile of Bihar and belong to SC, ST, BC, EBC, women, and economically weaker sections. The concessions are based on merit-cum-means criteria:

  • Full fee concession for one-fifth of these students.
  • 50% fee concession for two-fifths.
  • 25% fee concession for the remaining two-fifths.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for fee concessions, applicants must have scored more than the 60th percentile in NEET and their family must be below the poverty line (BPL).
