I am currently a pre-final-year student at NIT Raipur, and my overall experience so far has been mixed but valuable. The college provides a good academic environment and, being an NIT, there are opportunities for internships, placements, technical activities and extracurriculars. The faculty members are generally knowledgeable, although the teaching experience differs from professor to professor. For some subjects, self-study and additional resources are important. The academic workload can also be challenging at times, so students need to manage their time properly. Campus life is decent, with different clubs, events and activities. Since the college is located in Raipur city, access to transportation, markets and other facilities outside the campus is convenient. Hostel and mess facilities are average, and there is definitely scope for improvement in infrastructure and administration. Some administrative processes can also take time. Placements are an important attraction, but students should not depend entirely on the college. Building technical skills, preparing for placements from an early stage and gaining internship experience are equally important. Overall, NIT Raipur has given me opportunities to learn and grow. Like any college, it has both strengths and areas that need improvement. My experience has largely depended on how actively I have used the opportunities available to me.

Don't Come here if you are looking for MCA

This is not the college if you looking for MCA, if you have low marks go instead to DU/JNU/BHU, these are much better options for MCA. Here at NIT Raipur this course if of 3 years where others provide the same in two years. The faculties and infrastructure both are poor. Labs equipments are also very old. It's just famous because it has NIT tag otherwise no one will look for it.

Good Placement but lacks infrastructure

Overall college experience is good till now, NIT Raipur has maintained a good placement record over the years but lacks infrastructure which is improving year by year. Faculties here are extremely knowledgeable and very cooperative, always willing to help you out with problems whether it is academic or non academic. Admission is through JEE Main rank basis. Upcoming aspirants can consider this college and course as curriculum and placement record is decent here.
