Sengunthar Arts and Science College (SASC) in Tiruchengode actively supports its students through various institutional fee concessions and government-sponsored scholarship schemes.

Institutional Scholarships & Fee Concessions

The management of SASC provides direct financial assistance to support students from rural backgrounds and those with exceptional academic or extracurricular achievements.

  • Academic Merit Concessions:

    • 50% Fee Concession: Offered to students who have secured more than 540 marks in their 12th standard board examinations.

    • 25% Fee Concession: Offered to students who have secured more than 510 marks in their 12th standard board examinations.

  • Sports Scholarship: A 50% fee concession is provided to students who have achieved recognition at the state or national level in sports.

  • Need-Based Financial Aid: The college management committee reviews individual applications for financial support for students who are economically disadvantaged or face unique personal hardships, aimed at preventing them from discontinuing their education.

  • Refugee Concession: Special fee concessions are available for Sri Lankan refugee students admitted to the institution.

Government Scholarship Schemes

The college facilitates the application process for various state and central government scholarships. Students are encouraged to apply through the official government portals (such as e-district Tamil Nadu) as directed by the college administration. These typically include:

  • BC/MBC Welfare Scholarship: For students belonging to Backward Classes and Most Backward Classes, provided the annual parental income is below Rs.1,00,000.

  • SC/ST Welfare Scholarship: For students from Adi Dravidar communities, provided the annual parental income is below Rs.2,00,000. This includes options for fee waivers.

  • Minority Scholarships: For students belonging to minority communities (Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist) who meet the required academic and income criteria.
