Thakur Institute of Management Studies Career Development and Research Scholarships & Eligibility

The Thakur Institute of Management Studies, Career Development & Research (TIMSCDR) primarily facilitates scholarships through government-backed schemes, as it is an AICTE-approved and DTE-affiliated institution. Students admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) are eligible to apply for various financial assistance programs.

  1. Government Scholarship Schemes

Most scholarships at TIMSCDR are processed via the MahaDBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal of the Government of Maharashtra. These include:

  • Social Justice and Special Assistance Department Schemes: Financial support for students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, VJNT, and SBC categories. This often includes tuition fee waivers and maintenance allowances.
  • EBC (Economically Backward Class) Scholarship: Available to students whose family income is below Rs. 8,00,000 per annum. This scheme is intended to provide a significant waiver on tuition fees.
  • Minority Scholarship: Offered to students from notified minority communities (Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi, Jain, and Jews) who meet specific income criteria.
  • TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme): While technically an admission category rather than a scholarship, students admitted under the TFWS quota receive a full tuition fee waiver (excluding development and other fees).
